THE MINI OCTOPUS

The Mini Octopus was bought from a preservationist and entered the Fair in 2008, and is a juvenile (children's) version of the Giant Octopus. It's believed to have been built by Coulson, and was in a bad state when it was bought by Carters – it has been through a thorough restoration, including new cars and a new fascia painted to match the Hall & Fowle paintwork on the large Octopus. It's not known what year it was built, but it's likely to date from the 50s or 60s.
